Our Adult Faith Formation at St. John is an active ministry! We host programs throughout the year and also participate in Adult Faith Formation programs at some of our surrounding parishes as well.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! St. Max Adult Faith Formation Team is facilitating an information, discussion, and question & answer session on Bullying, Sunday, October 21, 7:00-9:00pm in the Conference Room. Did you know?  ·         Approximately 56% of students have witnessed bullying·         15% of students who are absent from school report that it is out of fear of being bullied·         About one of 10 students drops out of school or changes schools because of bullying·         90% of students report being the victim of bullying in some form, between the 4th and 8th grades·         More than 50% of adolescents & teens have been bullied online·         More than 50% of young people do not tell their parents when cyberbullying occurs (statistics from:  Using Virtues to Ward Off Bullying Behavior Our Sunday Visitor, March 25, 2012, p. 5)
 Please join us for a short video presentation, followed by discussion with Sheila Munafo-Kanoza, parishioner and leader of Companions on a Journey and Rev. Etta Cavers, presenter and educator for Citizens Against Domestic Violence Coalition and professor at Miami University-Oxford, who will lead adults in understanding what bullying is, how to identify it in our children, and how to promote resiliency and create a virtuous attitude within our children.  RSVP to Mary Montour, mmontour@saint-max.org.
