We again worked on the new Drupal site during the meeting. First, we worked on the Communications Page.
- We showed Dan how to upload the Bulletin and created a separate Bulletin page. Dan will add the previous bulletins from 2006 and create a new page for Eagle's Wings.
- We also used the Webform content type to start to create the new Space Request Form. Dan will work to complete the form when he has time. Eventually, we need to create all of the web forms with the Webform module. If anyone wants to work on a web form, please let everyone else know. It would be good if other people tried to use this tool.
- Dan reported that the Boosters will be updating their info soon. We should try to update info on both web sites.
- Brett is still working on the News and Notes section. He also needs to add the most recent From Father Mark and News and Notes to the Home Page. We also need to decide where to put the current readings.
- We looked at the Staff Directory and found that it was created as images instead of separate pages. Dan is going to make separate pages.
- Dan reported that the PDS tool Calendar now has a feature called web scrolling. He'll try to learn more about it. We still need to determine how to support the Calendar on the new site.
- We noted that image galleries and books can not be added to Section menus directly. We need to work with the new site and make sure that we have the best structure for content and menus.
- This month, we need to continue to look at all of the existing content and move as much as content as possible. Sections need to be setup for each Ministry or Organization. Please let everyone know if you decide to work on a section.
- The next meeting is Monday, September 11 at 7:15 PM in Undercroft E. We should assess the progress with the new site and try to plan for the launch of the new site. We'll also need to present the new site to the Parish Staff at the appropriate time.
