January 2007 Meeting Minutes

Attendees: Dan, Debbie, Kathy, Brett, Steve

Invited Guests: Fr. Linh, Laura Hoppa (Justice and Peace), Rose Braun (Pastoral Council), Kathy Guenther

This was an important meeting to discuss launching the new site. Here was we discussed:

• The first part of the meeting was spent navigating through the new site and also demonstrating how pages can be edited and added.
• There are several changes needed to the Home Page.
• The login box should indicate that only people updating the site needs to login.
• We'll have a box on the right side of the home page to have links for Organizations and Ministries
• We'd like to have a box showing the latest three News and Notes Articles
• We'd like Brett to consider different color schemes for the new site. Possibly colors similar to the current site.
• We'd also like the default for updating pages to use revisions.
• We added a From Father Linh set of stories to allow Fr. Linh to share info with the Parish. When he has an account, he should post his first story.
• Fr. Linh would like to have a Bible Study page to post his notes for the Bible Study. We've asked Dan to help Fr. Linh with this.
• Fr. Linh would like us to be able to post homilies and reflections on the web site. The main challenge is to figure out how to get the digital recordings to post. We'll work on this after the launch of the new site.
• Everyone needs to look at the new site and check if anything is out of date. We should try to get everything up to date before the site launch. The Music section needs to be updated and Mike Dailey will need to be trained.
• The Pastoral Council contacts are out of date, we need to get them updated or remove the page. Rose will check what the Council wants.
• We plan to target a launch date of Monday, January 22nd. Dan and Debbie will write a Bulletin article introducing the new site and also asking for feedback and new volunteers for the web committee.
• We need to get accounts created with the proper permissions for Fr. Mark, Fr. Linh, Council, Laura Hoppa, and Mike Dailey. Eventually the whole staff should have accounts.
• Hopefully we'll be ready for the 22nd launch. The next Web Committee meeting is scheduled for Monday, February 12th in Undercroft E.
