Join us for our annual mission trip to Church of the Good Shepherd in Campton, Kentucky!
Who: High School (Entering Grades 9–12) & College Students
When: June 13-18, 2023
Where: Hope Mountain Camp in Campton, Kentucky
Cost: $50.00 per person
What We Do:
At the Hope Mountain Campton Mission Trip, we assist in running an adult-supervised day camp for children in the Appalachian area of Eastern Kentucky. Both the high school and college student volunteers will be mentors for the campers attending the day camp. All meals are provided. There is optional daily swimming available. The day camp is from 9:45 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. and after the camp, we do a variety of activities that help the high school/college student volunteers experience the wonders and lifestyle of Eastern Kentucky!
There is one mandatory meeting before Campton on June 4 from 12:30-1:30pm in the Youth Room. During these meetings we explore why we do this mission trip, talk about what being a mentor means, learn more about the Appalachian culture, and plan jobs and prayers for the mission trip. If you cannot attend these meetings we ask that you meet with the Youth Minister at another time to make sure you get the information necessary to be prepared to go to Campton Mission.
