St. John the Evangelist Parish School of Religion
Grades 1-8
At St. John, faith formation and sacramental preparation include parish and family, working together form the whole child in a safe and inclusive environment. We have two options for the Parish School of Religion:
Please note: You must be a registered parishioner to enroll your child in faith formation classes at St. John. (If you and your family would like to become members at St. John, please click here.) If you have any questions about which program would be best for your child, please contact Mary Montour at mmontour@stjohnwc.org.
- PSR School-Year Classes In this option, students meet once a week. For first through sixth graders, parents have the option for their child to attend either Wednesday classes from 6:30 to 7:45pm or Sunday morning classes from 10:45 to 12pm. Seventh and eighth graders will meet on Sundays from 5:00 to 6:30pm.
- PSR Home Study The parent goes through the coursework with their child at home during the school year. The parent and child also attend a few meetings and events throughout the year as part of the PSR requirement.
